One of my favorite weekends! I was honored to speak at the Warrior Mom Pajama Party in Clarkston, MI. This event was created for mothers of special needs children and is, by far, the greatest place for moms to come together to share, network, vent, and relax with mothers who are all faced with the challenges and fears that come with raising a child with special needs.
The goal of this organization is to grow this program nation wide so that moms from around the country may have the opportunity to “get away” and have 2 days to rewind and get recharged before returning to their families.
The weekend was filled with give a ways, massages, foot baths, make overs, yoga, and sisterhood. I was thrilled to be presenting the first faith based presentation this event had ever hosted. I was touched by the participation and the true christian fellowship that filled the auditorium!
I ended my presentation with giving free goodies bags and gifts donated by the Autism Hope Alliance which brought smiles to many of my new friends and fellow warrior moms who attended. We then moved on for snacks and s’mores at the bonfire. What a great way to end our weekend together!
We all need time away to process and recharge. This event helps so many women, and I am excited to see it grow throughout the US.
