I had the privilege of chaperoning my daughter’s 5th grade field trip to Greenfield Village where we were able to take a peek into the past. We walked into a log home build in the 1800’s and the children were amazed at how small the home was that accommodated a family of nine! The girls loved the garage that housed all the historical trains and they also loved the wind mill.
We could’t leave without visiting the chapel where my husband and I were married. I was reliving every moment of our wedding and telling the girls some funny stories about our day. My daughter was surprised at how small the chapel was and she and her friends wanted to know how many people attended and how it was decorated. When I explained that it was Christmas time and everything was filled with Christmas trees, greens, roses, and crystals, they all went, “oooh!”
Our vintage bus ride.

Goodbye Greenfield Village and goodbye 5th grade!
